Cromeville is a provider of Employer Solutions Software and related services to Clients (the Service). The Service involves the collection, processing, and storage of data about potential Clients, signed-up Clients, and employees of those Clients. That data includes Personal Information and, in some instances, sensitive information.

We utilise a combination of hardware, software and third party cloud hosting services to provide the Service, all of which is controlled by us from our premises in Brisbane, Australia. All personal data is hosted in Australia, never overseas. Cromeville’s software products encrypt all customer information before it is sent to us. Furthermore, all customer data collected is secured against unauthorised use or access.

We do not collect, process, or disclose Personal Information, other than for the purposes of providing the Service, as described in more detail below.

What is Personal Information and why do we collect it?

Personal Information is information or an opinion that identifies an individual. Examples of Personal Information we collect include names, addresses, email addresses, date of birth, transaction information and payroll and banking details and TFNs.

We collect your Personal Information for the primary purpose of providing our services to you. We may also use your Personal Information for secondary purposes closely related to the primary purpose, in circumstances where you would reasonably expect such use or disclosure.

When we collect Personal Information, we will, where appropriate and where possible, explain to you why we are collecting the information and how we plan to use it.

Cookies.

In providing our service, Cromeville utilises cookies. A cookie is a small file placed in your web browser that collects information about your web browsing behaviour, allowing a website to tailor its configuration to your needs and preference. Cookies do not access information stored on your computer or any personal information. Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can choose to reject cookies by changing your browser settings. This may, however; prevent you from taking full advantage of our website.

Our website uses cookies to analyse website traffic and help us provide a better website visitor experience. We receive and store information you enter on our website or give us in any other way from time to time. You may provide basic contact information such as your name, phone number, address, and email address to enable us to send information or process your request and we may also collect additional information at other times, including but not limited to, when you provide feedback, or communicate with our customer support.

Individual profile and company details are not used for any other purpose. Details are only supplied to a third-party supplier when it is required by law, for services which you have purchased or to protect our copyright, trademarks, and other legal rights.

We will use all reasonable means to protect the confidentiality of your Personal Data while in our possession or control. We will not knowingly share any of your Personal Data with any third party other than our service providers who assist us in providing the information and/or services we are providing to you. To the extent that we do share your personal information with a service provider, we would only do so if that party has agreed to comply with our privacy standards as described in this privacy policy.

Cromeville will not charge any fee for your access request, but may charge an administrative fee for providing a copy of your Personal Information.

To protect your Personal Information, we may require identification from you before releasing the requested information.

In supplying our services, we are providing Employer Solutions, such as Superannuation Payment services, Single Touch Payroll reporting and other payroll services to our clients. We may or may not have a direct relationship with the employees whose information we process.

If you are an individual (not a client) and wish to access or seek correction or deletion of Individual Information processed by us, or otherwise exercise your rights regarding your Personal Information, you should direct your query to the client concerned (who controls the data). We will assist clients in ensuring the fulfilment of clients’ obligations to respond to requests for exercising individual rights, including the right to access or correct employee Information.

Cromeville privacy collection notice.

Information you provide to Cromeville will be used for the purpose of providing cloud based payroll software services, including passing information to superannuation funds, quality assurance and reporting, and for the provision of STP services.

Cromeville is bound by the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) in its collection and handling of personal information and tax file numbers (TFNs). The collection of this information is authorised by the Taxation Administration Act 1953. This information may be disclosed to the relevant super funds and financial institutions in relation to superannuation payments, and relevant government agencies or as authorised or required by law. Please refer to the above section 'Disclosure of Personal Information' for more details of who we may disclose personal information to.

Where you are providing the personal details of another person to Cromeville, for example an employer providing their employees' details to Cromeville for payroll purposes, please provide that person with the below Employee privacy note, so that they are aware of how Cromevile intend to use and disclose their personal information.

Information you have provided to your employer will be used by Cromeville to facilitate your employer's payroll processing, including processing of superannuation payments and/or STP reporting services.

In order to provide the above mentioned payroll services, Cromeville does not currently disclose information to any overseas recipients.
